The PlayStation 2 is a video game console made by Sony. King destroyed the PS2 on three different occasions. It was the successor of the original PlayStation (now known as the PS1). One destroyed in Bored Smashing - PS2, one in Bored Smashing - GAMING PC?! and another one in HATE COMMENTS 2 + Bored Smashing! It was succeeded by the PlayStation 3 in 2006, but wasn't discontinued until 2013.

- The PS2 holds the record for the best-selling game console of all time. Things that made this true were the vast library of games, backwards compatibility with PS1 games, and its ability to play DVDs.
- The PS2 had a slim version, which was smaller and had a top-load disc tray instead of a front-loader.
- The PS2 competed with the original Xbox, Nintendo GameCube, and Sega Dreamcast. However, Sega discontinued the Dreamcast early and stopped making consoles entirely (switching their business to software development) due to poor sales against the PS2.
- The PS2's bootup animation has become a meme, similar to the GameCube's.
- The PS2 has several secrets hidden in plain sight; the towers in the bootup animation represent the contents of the memory cards and the PlayStation logo on the front of the console can be rotated.
- The PS2s infamous "Red Screen of Death", accompanied by tense music, occurs when an unknown disc is inserted to the console, unlike other Screens of Death that occur when the software crashes. It is typically caused by badly damaged discs, but can also be caused by PC or older Xbox 360 discs.
